Section 338 · effective August 22, 2026
Paste your catalog. See which SKUs are on the 50% list.
The extra US duty is not every product from Canada. It applies to 554 specific 8-digit HTS lines. Upload a spreadsheet and see which items are listed, then export a file you can send to a broker.
Free: 25 SKUs. Scan US$79 / CA$99+GST. Monitor US$149 / CA$189+GST per month.
1. Upload
CSV or Excel. Use the template, or map messy headers. An 8-digit HTS is the determination.
2. Match
Listed codes first. Product-name matches are marked probable until a code is confirmed.
3. Export
Annual extra duty, category chart, and a CSV you can forward.
What is in force now. Three Section 338 proclamations add 50% extra duty on listed Canadian-origin goods (alcohol, dairy, and a broader motor-vehicle annex). USMCA does not waive it. Canada’s reply list is expected 8 September 2026. Until it is published, Canadian extra duty is shown as pending.
